Jakarta – Mayora Group inaugurated its 25,000th containers shipment for export, which was held on 18 February, 2019, this was the group's commitment as a company that "PROUD to be INDONESIAN" by advancing the Indonesian economy and providing inspiration to the business sector and Indonesian.
The 25,000 containers inauguration event was directly lead by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo, Minister of Trade Enggartiasto Lukita, Ministry of Industry Airlangga Hartarto, Government Officials and President Director of Mayora Group Andre Sukendra Atmadja, as well as 15, 000 partners of Mayora group which consisted of coffee farmers from Lampung, cassava farmers, corn farmers, factory workers and employees of Mayora factories located in Banten and its surrounding areas.
The 25,000th containers inauguration event, aligned with President Joko Widodo’s direction stated in limited meeting at the Bogor Presidential Palace months ago, concerning “the two most important factors requires to be concentrated collectively, are controlling imports and increasing exports.
Mayora, as one of Indonesian companies, has been able to compete in the global market with an export contribution of up to 50% of the Mayora Group business, which has sold of more than IDR 35 Trillion. In addition, it has made Mayora as the company with the largest export of products with Indonesian brands in Indonesia. Furthermore, the company is persistently committed to increase export figures for finished products with Indonesian brands that have eminent value added.
Currently, Mayora has exported its product ‘ with made in Indonesian’ label on them to more than 100 countries, among others are United States, Russia, Middle East, China, Philippines , other Association of Southeast Asian Nations/ASEAN countries and even to Iraq, Palestine and Lebanon.
The President Director of Mayora Group, Andre Sukendra Atmadja explained, “Mayora has proven that Indonesia is not only creating products for other nations’ brands, our mission, beside exporting our products, we also aspire to prove that Indonesian brands are also world-class brands so they are capable to elevate Indonesia's self-esteem and dignity in the eyes of the world.”
Mayora almost in general empowers the Indonesian contents, including raw materials supplied by Indonesian coffee and cassava farmers along with equipment created by the nations’ engineers. The group also provides guidance to 70,000 coffee and cassava farmers so that they are able to produce good quality agricultural produces. In overall, the group empowers more than 50,000 workers both in Indonesia and worldwide.
Mayora products such as Torabika, Kopiko, Beng Beng, Danisa are not only manage to be exported to other countries, but they can be market leaders abroad. Andre Atmadja, also added that “the achievement was attained as a result of the Republic of Indonesia Government’s support. Mayora expect its achievements which have been accomplished at the moment, can initiate inspiration and at the end make us more “Proud to be Indonesian”
